Liz Clarkson Founder & Executive Producer
Liz is a storyteller at heart.
She's spent 14 years working as a producer, journalist, features reporter and presenter with the ABC where she has refined her skills in writing, research and deadline delivery.
Liz has worked in rural, regional and city centres across NSW. She's comfortable having a chat with anyone from the local pub goer to the Prime Minister.
Liz has spent time coordinating state wide emergency responses, mentoring regional scholarship winners, reporting from fires, floods and storms.
But mostly she's been busy making stories that reflect the community we live in.
Simple. Impactful. Human stories.
Because Liz believes it’s the stories we tell ourselves and each other that shape our world.
That’s why she strives to tell stories well.
She's a creative who has her feet firmly on the ground.
She enjoys the messiness of a nuanced life and ensuring that comes across in the audio stories she makes.
When she's not planning the next grand podcast idea, Liz likes to:
* Hang out with her family in the backyard or the beach
* Chase the chooks off her veggie patch
*Read two pages of a book before falling asleep.
Nathanael Little Pod like a Pro Trainer
Nathanael Little is an audio producer who has always had an ear on the world.
There's nothing he loves more than helping people to express their authentic self.
Finding his way to community radio as a teen, he then went on to study radio and work in live radio as a producer, reporter and presenter.
Nathanael is experienced in leading large scale cross platform, high impact, purpose driven series.
Nathanael has a passion for sharing storytelling and podcast production skills to empower people who have a drive to create authentic content with voice and sound.
He believes that it's the unheard voices that need to be listened to.
He has a commitment to diverse stories and loves working with underrepresented communities to help share their voices.
When he's not making great audio,
Nathanael loves:
- Trail running
- Train spotting (he's been obsessed with trains and rail and even has a TikTok train account)
- Sharing energy healing through Reiki.
Pod and Pen Productions acknowledges the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples. We pay homage to the traditions of the Awabakal people, where we live, work, and learn. We pay respect to the Elders and knowledge holders for their continued strength sharing story, and to the young ones who will continue to dance softly.
